Meet Dr. Mitchell – Havana Street Dental
Dr. Chelsea Mitchell
Dr. Chelsea Mitchell is originally from Ogden, Utah, where she grew up skiing, camping, and mountain biking in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Utah and worked as a medical device engineer for several years. However, she realized she wanted to help patients directly by improving their health and smiles in the dental chair. In 2019, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah. While enrolled, she was a member of the infamous “Plaque Sweepers” winter curling team, formed by dentists.
Dr. Mitchell received the “Most Outstanding Research” award in her class for investigating tooth decay in elderly patients. Her research has been published in the Journal of Dentistry, the British Dental Journal, and the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with NYU and received clinical training in root canals, cosmetics, dental implants, and oral surgery at Pascua Yaqui Tribal Dental Center in Tucson, Arizona. She loves seeing family members of all ages, starting at age one. Dr. Mitchell is a proud supporter of military service members and has helped many improve their oral health before deployment.
Dr. Mitchell and her partner have recently moved from Tucson to Denver with their two dogs, Fifi and Millie Nelson. They are excited to be closer to curling, ice climbing, and, most importantly, the beautiful parks here. Dr. Mitchell is honored to be part of the dedicated Havana Street Dental team and to serve the patients of Aurora and Denver. She pledges to listen to your needs and help relieve any anxiety you may feel about visiting the dentist. Dr. Mitchell is excited to meet you at your next visit!
